my younger sister had gotten her hair cut because me and my mom wanted her to stop putting her hair in a ponytail all the time (she looks really pretty without the ponytail) but when we got it cut, these big curls started sticking out. so now her hair goes down and near the end of her hair, it curls up. She is really upset about it and won't stop complaining about it. I don't really know how to make her hair stay straight since she brushes it all the time. Can anybody help me on what I should do? (other than buy a straightener)

The only thing I know to do is to straighten it or maybe try a Japanese perm which is known to keep your hair straight for a long time.

have her put straightening creme in it while it's still wet and then blowdry it using a big round brush. she should pull her hair straight with the brush while blowdrying, all the way to the ends. that's how i keep my naturally curly hair straight.

Use a thermal brush while blowdrying it straight and also use a straightening creme. All the major brands have them..I think Rusk Thermal Str8 is a super line for curly hair. Would she consider cutting it shorter like a Felicity Huffman's former style? That could be really cute depending on her face shape.
