Eckhart touches on the difference between spirituality and religion. He wrote, "how spiritual you are has nothing to do with what you believe but everything to do with your state of consciousness. This, in turn, determines how you act in the world and interact with others."
I like this because it takes religion out of text of what is or isn't and allows a awakening to be a individual journey outside of all else.
I think of myself as very spiritual, although I struggle with my ego and get wrapped up in survival, I now it is just a matter of time as we sort through the pain body that it will all eventually fade away. I look back on how life used to be, and see how far we have come, and know that it should only continue to get better.
