Is humanity ready for a transformation in consciousness?
Eckhart poses this questions in the first chapter, as he explained that The New Earth isn't a book to to convince of anything rather to create a shift in consciousness.

I think that humanity is ready for the shift , there are plenty of people walking this earth as healers and conscious beings to help guide others through the awakening of their true identity.

i sincerely hope that humanity is ready for this type of "awakening". i believe that even the smallest push towards changing the way we think can make a difference, although we live in a society that is dominated and has been created by our ego-based thinking. i think many people have been searching within amidst this mess, but many are too indulgent to turn away from the ego.

The evolution of consciousness is inevitable. It seems we are living in an age of awakening. This may not be immediately apparent when we watch the daily news and witness the violence, the warfare, the horrific suffering that humans inflict on each other. Here it seems that nothing has changed or things are getting worse. What we are witnessing in fact is the unconsciousness of the human mind playing itself out in front of our eyes.

I believe we are ready if we are READY. Basically only those who are ready to change will change and all others are there for us to realize why we need to change. :D

I think we are finally in a time when humanity is actually searching for change. That's why there's such a huge "green" and "organic" movement right now. I think people are ready to live differently, better, and hopefully this idea of living consciously will also be something people are ready and willing to do.

I'm pretty sure that most of the world has awakened to the fact that something is not right with the world today and more and more people are becoming motivated to do something about it. I find it to be truly inspiring.

I think that everything is vibrational and that we have to continuesly match each others vibration. So the ones that are awakening more and more, their families friends will meet their vibration and it will ripple out from there. So whether we like it or not we are all going to continuesly awaken. There are so many people out there doing the work.

I don't think being selfish is bad. Some people are so selfless and suffer. I think of it as a circle that has to circulate, at the top of the circle is selfishness, 1/4 way around is selflessness, 1/4 is being of service, 1/4 is transcendence. But the selfishness part is so key that is how we learn about who we are, it is only bad if we get stuck there.

Yes, but there are way too many people at the top 1/4, that's the problem. People need to keep evolving and this only happens when uncontrollable bad things start to happen, then the ego/mind says "how could this happen, I didn't plan for this" and then it starts to realize It's not in control...aha...awareness that there is something bigger than the ego...GOD!!!

so yes, I am ready for change!

I think being selfish is ok as long as we know why we are being selfish and we don't get stuck there. I see it as having to be selfish to become selfless, to be of service then you can transcend. There are stages to it. Just think about something you were good at, how you had to want it, which is selfish, then let go of fears and concerns of ego to drive through it which is selfless, to become well enough to help others with it which is being of service, to eventually transcending beyond it meaning you are above all the emotion of it because you have gone through all the angles of it. Selfish being a mere starting point.
