Fear is the underlying theme that drives the ego. Tolle writes "...Illusion will never satisfy you. Only the truth of who you are, if realized will set you free."
What do you fear?

Sometimes I hear people say that that is just the way it is, and nothing could make me more upset than when I hear that. So that is my fear that people just accept life as just the way it is. Woman get raped, men get killed at war, the poor will starve, and that is just the way it is. I fear that if we feed into that illusion of pain we will keep it alive, but I also think that becoming okay with the pain is a beautiful thing. It is tricky to me, because there are so many levels of fear, and so many fears, and so many ways to approach it. I just don't ever want to accept it.

i agree, there are so many different types and levels of fear. fear of failing in life, fear of letting others down or losing relationships that matter to you, fear that you don't fit in or fear that you can't live up to a particular role. instead of living life in fear of all these things, we should just be and let be.
