What are you doing to take care of your mind, body & soul? Eckhart Tolle said:

"Make it a habit to feel the inner body as often as you can...It is your essence identity. Body awareness not only anchors you in the present moment, it is a doorway out of the prison that is the ego. It also strengthens the immune system and the body's ability to heal itself."

I find that I often forget about my body and my mind. But the times when I do make it a point to focus on myself by going for a walk, meditating, doing yoga or just sitting and being "in the moment," I find that I can re-connect with myself and truly appreciate life and all that I have been given - including my body and all of it's miraculous components. It's those moments that I find God.

What about you?

i find it fascinating that being aware of yourself can strengthen your immune system! that just goes to show how important our mind, body, soul connection is. I used to always think that talking about the "inner self" was all mumbo jumbo (so to speak), but then i noticed the effects that paying attention to the inner self had on my outer self - it's amazing!

i know i'm not doing enough to take care of my mind, body & soul. it's so hard to find moments of stillness and quite in order to do that. i think there are so many distractions in life that make it easy not to - think about all the times we sit down at the tv when we could be reading a book or meditating or praying. we have distraction readily available at our fingertips!

i find it difficult to focus on my mind and soul because i'm so busy, and when i'm not busy, i think up things that will occupy my time. i know that i should begin to set aside some time for myself, even 10 minutes a day would be beneficial. i've felt the desire to meditate many times, but i just don't leave myself the time to do it.

I just experienced getting really sick, and noticed that before I got i'll I was really into my ego, and I stressed myself out, I was out cold for a week. But, it is cool to go into the shadows of yourself as a witness, because you learn a lot about what is lurking deep inside you, as long as you can come out of it. I am fortunate to have a yoga practice that is really strong in my life, and good people all around me that are there when I forget to be present. I noticed today in my yoga practice how much presence I have after that whole experience, of ego and sickness, I'm so grateful to have my health, it put a whole new spin on every ounce of what I was doing during yoga today, and I plan to continue and grow with that in each passing day.
