Celebrity Ceremony Hair Secrets of the Award Show Styles The 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards held in September brought out some of the most fabulous celebrity hairstyles ever. There were so many styles on display, from simple strands, to perfectly coiffed ‘dos, and everything in between. This year’s Emmy Awards gave women all over the world new hair fashions to experiment with. Try some of our favorites out on yourself! Silky Straight Like Debra Messing Getting silky and sleek hair like Marcia Cross and Debra Messing demonstrated is easy.  | -
Applying a straightening serum like Kenra’s will help create sleek, smooth and straight styles with the help of thermal styling (a.k.a. your blow dryer or flat iron). -
After applying the serum, blow dry your hair upside down using a paddle brush. Blow drying upside down will give your roots extra volume. -
Flat iron your hair in sections and glide the flat iron down your hair shaft slowly and steadily for best results. -

Start with clean, dry hair and run a styling cream like Pureology’s Nano Glaze styling cream through strands. -
Wrap 2” sections of hair around a 1 ¼” barrel curling iron and then pin the curls to cool. After about 20 minutes, unpin hair and shake gently. -
Then mist your curls with a medium hold hairspray like Tigi Catwalk Hairspray in medium-firm hold. -
Finally, flat iron your bangs to the side and run a bit more styling cream through the bangs so they’ll hold.
