Get Dramatic Lips for FallLipstick is Back, and in a Big Way!  As much as I adore lip gloss, during the windy fall and winter weather, I tend to opt for lipstick. With my shoulder length hair flying around, lip gloss can act like fly paper and cause many the makeup faux paus; that is, if one is not vigilant with ever-ready covered elastic hair bands with which to secure flyaway strands. Lipstick is huge this fall and it seems that each time the chilly season is upon us, darker lips come back into fashion.
I love lips that make a statement, but I would just like to send out a word of caution about dark lipstick – try on many different shades until you find what suits you. Lips too dark can look scary and they can also make a young, lively woman look years older if the tone does not flatter her natural coloring. It is also important to make sure your lips are free of dry or dead skin, as nothing looks worse than dark lipstick on chapped, dried up lips – please don’t go there! |
