Jewelry today, is often made by stringing stones on silk or wire. Though this method is simple to master and allows one to create a piece with a continuous look, there are some negative aspects. The stones can rub against the string causing it to fray and the crimps that attach the wire can fail. In the event that this happens, the entire necklace may fall apart and would need to be recreated. My pieces are made by linking stones on silver wire and each link is crafted with strength in mind. Should a segment break, the piece can easily be repaired.
