HOW TO MIX AND MATCH PRINTS
Tribal Prints, Animal Prints and Florals
While wearing one tribal print piece is always very stylish, we are now seeing a lot of mixing and matching when it comes to prints and those days of only wearing one style are over. Florals, animal skin, geometric shapes and Egyptian inspired patterns are all socializing amongst each other to create a modern, edgy style. You may be sitting at home wondering how you will be able to fuse a bunch of different patterns and prints together and actually have it come together to look good, and we are here to tell you just how to do it.
Mix and Match Accessories
The trick to wearing a multitude of prints at the same time is to start off slow with accessories like bangles, handbags, scarves and shoes. Begin by wearing a tribal print bracelet and an animal print purse with a solid black dress then take a step back to look at the outfit you’ve just created – just take it all in and see how you feel in it. More likely than not, you’re going to look fabulous! Once you get more comfortable with mixing and matching prints and patterns, you can move on to bolder looks like the ones below!
Same Prints, Different Styles: Tribal Print
When you wear the same print but in different colors or variations, you will be able to really keep your look funky but not over the top. The key to mixing prints is not taking the boldest patterns and trying to pair them together, but instead to allow things to really mesh together. Wearing two different tones of the same print on a shirt and a skirt will really look put together and fun, without overdoing it.
Wear Prints That Go Together
To make this look work, wear prints that actually compliment one another and the same goes for colors. For example, a blouse that has a small floral pattern would pair nicely with shorts that have either a small polka dot pattern or are striped. You can also wear organic shapes with something that has a geometric print. Polka dots and stripes have always been known to be a pair and now you can really wear the incredible duo together and pull it off well.
Tribal prints are great, especially when they are meshed with each other. Don’t limit yourself to wearing just one print anymore! Have fun with what you wear and really add a lot of color, patterns and fun to your wardrobe.
