When it comes to working out, many of us loathe thinking about it, let alone actually going, but something that may motivate you to go to the gym is buying cute workout gear! If you are trying to go to the gym in ratty old sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt that you had since you were 7, then you need to charge up your look, so you can charge up your exercise!
Think about it: if you buy cute clothes to work out in that actually fit you and make you feel good, then aren’t you going to want to wear them, as well as get your money’s worth? Of course you are! So that means you are more apt to hitting the gym then you normally would in your old workout gear.
CUTE AND COMFORTABLE GYM CLOTHES: Work the Booty
When it comes to wearing the right pants to the gym, you want to make sure that they are comfortable, breathable and not too baggy. Some girls like to wear baggy sweatpants because they are comfortable, but baggy pants can be too heavy for working out. You need a pair of pants that are fitting, such as Yoga pants. These pants fit to your shape, but also leave a little room so you feel comfortable, or try cropped cotton pants or shorts. Don’t get anything too big or too tight. By getting bottoms that fit, you’ll be able to focus on working out rather than fussing with your too loose or too tight bottoms.
When it comes to wearing the appropriate top, you really just want to make sure that it fits you comfortably. You can always purchase a gym top with a built in bra or you can wear a sports bra with a cute fitted tank. A racer back tank top is great too because you do not have to worry about the straps falling down your arm and causing any distractions while you are working out. Tees are another great top for the gym if you feel more comfortable in something more loose fitting and not as body hugging as a tank.
When you put on your pair of sneakers and head to the gym, make sure that they are not old! If you are still wearing your kicks from last year then you need to upgrade not only for fashion reasons but also for health ones at that. To take advantage of the benefits of a properly fitted shoe, you need to change them every so often, so go out and purchase a pair of sneakers that not only are nice to your feet, but are nice to look at, so you feel it is a treat when you wear them. We recommend a pair of cross trainers for the gym since they offer both fashion and functionality.
