HOW TO GET MAKEUP LIKE KRISTEN STEWART:SKIN
Kristen’s skin always looks flawless and silky smooth. You can achieve her skin perfection by cleansing and moisturizing day and night with an all natural skin care line, like Carley’s Clear and Smooth Virgin Coconut Lotion and Natural Bar Soap. Carley’s is by far one of the best all natural skin and body care lines I have ever tried. It’s also very inexpensive, good for all skin types, and smells fabulous.
Immediately after moisturizing, apply a liquid foundation to the entire face while the skin is still moist. ERA Everyday Airbrush Foundation is a fantastic, no mess, makeup that provides great coverage. Just spray on and blot with included puff if needed. Make sure you choose a color that matches your skin tone almost, if not, exactly.
If you find that you get oily throughout the day, then dust a sheer oil-free pressed powder like, Lancome PHOTOGENIC Sheer Pressed Powder over your foundation. This powder will give flawless coverage and won't settle into pores or fine lines. Use a fluffy powder brush, such as MAC Cosmetics Powder brush 187, to apply at home but also carry the compact with enclosed sponge in your purse for touch ups.
Using a similar powder brush as you applied your pressed powder with, apply a sheer pink color to the apples of the cheeks. Use something that has a bit of a glow but is not too shimmery. MAC Powder Blush in Pinch Me is a great choice. Apply the color to the cheeks by stippling or pressing into the skin rather than swiping across the cheek. The color will adhere better to the skin by using this technique. Start out soft and add more color as needed.
First apply a base color to the entire lid using a large lid brush, like MAC Large Shadow Brush 252. Apply generously to the entire lid all the way up to the brows also taking the color underneath the eye to create some highlight and glow. Use a neutral champagne color, like Allure’s Best of Beauty Readers' Choice Award Winner 2009 MAC Eye Shadow in Shroom for the best results.
On the lid (or ball) of the eye of the eye, where the eye protrudes, apply a brighter bluish-green frosted shadow, like MAC Shadow in Steamy. Use a soft blending brush, like MAC Brush 217, to apply the color as close to the lash line as possible adding more little by little until you achieve your desired look. Take this color under the eyes as well with a similar brush to the one you used for your base color to give the eye balance and add a bright glow.
Using a soft pencil liner, like Benefit BADgal Liner, blend the color softy into the top and bottom lids as close to the lashes as you can get to create a bit of sexy smokiness. Apply lightly at first and darken as desired while blending upwards at the end of eye to create a bit of a cat’s eye effect. Finish with at least two coats of black lengthening and thickening mascara, like Pixi - Lash Booster Mascara, before applying a few individual lashes to the ends of the eye.
Applying individual lashes is quick and easy once you know how to do them and what products to use. First invest in black in color Ardell Duralash Naturals Individual Lashes in medium length and Ardell LashGrip Eyelash Adhesive. To apply, gently lift one lash cluster at a time from the tray with tweezers. Holding the lash gently with your clean fingernails or tweezers, apply a tiny dot of glue to the end of the lash cluster and place the individual lash on top of your natural lashes starting at the end of your eyes. Press the lash down lightly with tip of your clean finger or nail until the adhesive sets. Repeat this step, resting each lash cluster next to one another, working your way to the middle of the eye. The adhesive is white in color at first, but dries perfectly clear.
Lastly, apply a few coats of a sheer, almost skin colored lipstick, like MAC Slimshine Lipstick in Bare, to the entire lip. This will keep the lips looking healthy and moisturized without the high shine and sticky feel of a gloss.
