How to Get Skin Like Kate Beckinsale
To get Kate’s clean, fresh skin cleanse and moisturize your skin day and night. Use products that are appropriate to your skin type, like Dermalogica skin kits for oily, dry, or combo skin. They are just as effective as they are convenient.
To get Kate’s flawless skin use an all natural mineral foundation, like the Herbs of Grace Mineral Powder. Not only does it provide nice coverage while still looking natural, but it’s also environmentally friendly and good for any skin type. Apply using a large powder brush, such as Nars Botan Brush. Buff the dry powder onto the skin very lightly in a circular motion until you have reached your desired coverage.
To get Kate’s natural rosy cheeks use a brighter pink blush, like Primrose Natural Mineral Color from Herbs of Grace, to create that healthy glow. Using a medium size, natural hair blush brush, like ModelCo Blush Brush 05, to apply color a little at a time to the apples or balls of the cheeks.
Step 1: To get Kate’s natural smoky eyes, first use a soft iridescent eye shadow, like MAC Shadow in Grain, all over the entire lid as your base. Apply using a large shadow brush, such as Joey New York’s Shadow Brush, also taking the color lightly under the eyes as well with the same brush to balance the eyes and add highlight under the eye.
Step 2: In the crease of the eye, using the same large shadow brush, add a hint of a deep shimmery bronze, like MAC Shadow in Sable. Start soft and deepen little by little, while also taking the color a touch under the eye as well with the same brush.
Step 3: Next apply a black eyeliner, like MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder, to create that defined cat’s eye. Start applying the pencil thinly at the inside of the eye, increasingly thickening and angling the line upwards as you slide toward the outer end of the eye. Use a small angle brush, like Jane Iredale’s Angle Brush, to blend the product as close to the lash line on top as possible and to extend the line up and out on the ends to further accentuate the cat’s eye. Take the liner a bit under the bottom lashes as well.
Step 4: Long, thick lashes will finish off Kate’s timeless look. Apply at least two coats of the darkest black thickening mascara you can find, like L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Black. Apply to the top and bottom lashes and make sure to separate the lashes so they are not clumpy.
Eyebrows shape the face and finish off the eyes, so using a small natural hair angle brush like the one you used to apply your eyeliner, apply an eyebrow powder that is as close to your hair color as possible. Anastasia Palettes in Blonde and Brunette shades are a great choice. Using the brush, lightly fill in your natural brow, making sure to softly accentuate your natural arch. Lastly, comb a clear brow gel, like GloMinerals gloBrow Gel in Clear, through your brows to blend the color and keep the hair in place.
To get Kate’s pout-y pink lips, apply a sheer glossy pink, such as Playboy Beauty Gloss. This shiny pink gloss is perfection dangling from a heart shaped keychain and looks as good on your lips as it does dangling from your car keys. s
