Learn How to Get Sweet Sultry Makeup Like Anne Heche!
It seems Anne Heche has lived so many lives and had a different look for each. The sexy actress is starring in Spread this summer with hottie Ashton Kutcher, which just shows that sometimes the more lives you live, perhaps the sexier you become. Read on to see how you can get sweet and sultry makeup like Anne Heche.
Get Skin Like Anne Heche’s
To get porcelain smooth skin like Anne Heche’s, thoroughly cleanse and moisturize your face day and night with products that are appropriate to your skin type (oily, dry, combo.) Dermalogica’s skin kits are made for every skin type and the products are effective and convenient.
Mineral foundation, like Herbs of Grace loose powder foundation, will give you that look of perfection. Mineral makeup covers beautifully without looking too heavy and is also good for the skin. Use a large powder brush, such as Nars Botan Brush, to buff the dry powder onto the skin, a little at a time, all over the face, in a circular motion until you have reached your desired coverage.
A cheek stain, like Tarte’s, is a great choice and will certainly give you Anne’s natural glow. Stains are easy to apply and look like a natural flush. Apply stain with either your clean fingers or a small sponge a little at a time directly to the apples, or balls, of the cheeks.
Step 1: To get Anne’s big ‘Bambi’ eyes, start by using a light matte base color, like MAC Shadow in Vanilla, all over the entire lid. Use a large shadow brush, such as Joey New York’s Shadow Brush, to apply all over the lid also taking the color lightly under the eyes as well with the same brush. This will add brightness and highlight the under eyes as well.
Step 2: In the crease of the eye, using the same large shadow brush, add a hint of drama by applying a deeper color, like MAC Shadow in Print. Lightly take the deeper color underneath the eye as well, just on the outside corners to define the eye shape.
Step 3: Apply a soft kohl liner, like MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder, to create that elongated cat’s eye. Apply the pencil thinly at the inside of the eye and increasingly thicken and angle the line upwards as you slide toward the outer end of the eye. Use a small angle brush, like Jane Iredale’s Angle Brush, to blend the product as close to the lash line on top as possible and to smoke out the liner a bit under the bottom lashes as well.
Step 4:Those ‘Bambi’ eyelashes are the bread and butter of this look. So, first curl your lashes and apply a thin coat of the darkest black mascara you can find, like L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Black. Make sure you separate the lashes on the top and bottom so they are not clumpy.
Step 5: Individual false lashes are a must. Ardell brand Duralash Naturals Individual Lashes and LashGrip Eyelash Adhesive are sold in every drug store and usually for less than $4 each. To apply, gently lift one lash cluster at a time from the tray with tweezers. Rest the individual lash on top of your natural lashes to make sure you like the placement and look. Holding the lash gently with your clean fingernails or tweezers, apply a tiny dot of glue to the end of the lash cluster and place on your lid, right on top of your natural lashes. Press the lash down lightly with tip of your clean finger or nail until the adhesive sets (about 30 seconds). Apply about 10 lash clusters gradually from the middle of the eye and outwards toward the end of the eye to further accentuate that elongated cat’s eye look.
Eyebrows shape the face and finish off the eyes, so using a small natural hair angle brush like the one you used for eyeliner, apply an eyebrow powder that is as close to your hair color as possible. Anastasia makes a great eyebrow palette in blonde and brunette shades. Use the brush dry and lightly fill in your natural brow, making sure to softly accentuate your natural arch. Lastly, comb through a clear brow gel, like GloMinerals gloBrow Gel in Clear, to blend the color and keep the hair in place.
