| EXPERT TIPS FOR ROSY CHEEKS |
Here, Gina tells us how to get the fresh, natural look of rosy cheeks:
To fake a fresh glow, use these simple steps with cream and gel blushes to blend into the skin. Look for a shade that replicates the color of your cheeks after a good workout. Highlight fair skin with bubblegum pink (Smashbox O-Glow) or mauve hues; peach and terra-cotta tones (NARS The Multiple in Orgasm) emphasize medium skin; burgundies and browns (Vincent Longo Water Canvas blush in Savannah Fresh) add oomph to dark complexions.

Pros recommend choosing a matte bronzer that has a golden look on the skin, not a brown shade, as many mistakenly use. This keeps the bronzer from looking muddy on the skin. Apply the bulk of the product on the perimeter of the face, and begin your application there, not on the cheeks. After you get your bronzer on, apply a bright rosy blush to the apples of your cheeks. This gives your face a pop of dimension and keeps bronzer from looking flat. For daytime, a matte formula looks perfect. For evening you might want to try a blush with a bit of shimmer.
A little blush and bronzer can go a long way toward helping you look fit and fabulous this summer. Remember that less is more when it comes to cosmetics and you can always reapply, while subtracting color can be a bit more time consuming and labor intensive. Here’s to your bronzed and beautiful self.
