KATHERINE HEIGL HAIR: Step 1

To get Katherine’s voluminous and almost, dare I say, poofy hair, cleanse and condition with products that were made to create that ‘BIG’ 80’s hair. Charles Worthington London Big Hair Salon Shine Shampoo and Conditioner will give you amazing body and shine.Rinse thoroughly and towel dry hair.

KATHERINE HEIGL HAIR: Step 2

While hair is still damp, apply a voluminizing mousse, like Davines Volume Mousse, to encourage fullness. Begin blow drying hair in small sections using a large round brush with angled bristles, such as The Monroe Red Carpet Brush, to provide hair with curves and volume. Curling the brush around the hair while blow-drying will give the ends a bouncy flip like Katherine’s. Use an ionic 1875 watt dryer, like Bed Head Active Ionic Hair Dryer, for the best results.

KATHERINE HEIGL HAIR: Step 3

Once the hair is dry, put some curl into the layers of your hair with a larger barrel curling iron, like BabyLiss 1 ½ inch Pro Ceramic Spring Iron. Starting at the back and working your way forward, direct your iron backwards, shaping the curls away from the face, especially in the bangs, sides, and general front area. Hold hair on iron for only about 10-15 seconds, letting hair fall naturally off the iron. This will help keep the curls loose and wavy.

KATHERINE HEIGL HAIR: Step 4

Once your hair is completely curled, loosen and adjust curls by softly running your fingers through them individually. Lastly, give your entire head a misting of a finishing spray, like Aquanet Extra Super Hold Hairspray. You can’t really channel an 80’s inspired look, without turning to your old friend, Aquanet. It’s honestly the best hairspray for its price out there for hold and volume (the one in the white and pink can is my fav!)
