Not only does it provide nice coverage while still looking natural, but it’s also environmentally friendly and good for any skin type from acne-prone to sensitive. Use a nice big powder brush, such as Nars Botan Brush, to apply. Buff the dry powder onto the skin, a little at a time, all over the face, in a circular motion until you have reached your desired coverage. | | | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | ANNA FRIEL MAKEUP : CHEEKS | Anna’s rosy cheeks are a staple in her makeup style. A brighter blush is definitely the way to go to create Anna’s healthy glow. Use a medium size, natural hair blush brush, like ModelCo Blush Brush 05, to apply the color a little at a time directly to the apples or balls of the cheeks. A brighter pink shimmer, like Primrose Natural Mineral Color from Herbs of Grace, is a good choice. | | | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | ANNA FRIEL MAKEUP : EYES | Step 1: To get Anna’s natural smoky eyes, start by using a soft iridescent, but not sparkly, neutral eye shadow, like MAC Shadow in Grain, all over the entire lid. Use a relatively large shadow brush, such as Joey New York’s Shadow Brush, to apply color generously all over the lid also taking the color lightly under the eyes as well with the same brush. This will balance the eyes and also add some highlight and reflection under the eye. | | | Step 2: In the crease of the eye, using the same large shadow brush, add a pop of a deep shimmery bronze, like MAC Shadow in Sable, to give that touch of sultriness. Don’t over do it, but don’t under do it either. You want that balance of depth and shimmer. So start soft and deepen bit by bit until you start to feel scandalous! Take the color a touch under the eye as well, with the same brush. | | | Step 3: Kohl liner is your best bet for a natural smoky eye. Use a dark brown, like MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy, to create that smudgy cat’s eye. Kohl liner is soft and applies easy and smooth, compared to the liquid or hard pencil version. Start applying the pencil thinly at the inside of the eye, increasingly thickening and angling the line upwards as you slide toward the outer end of the eye. Use a small angle brush, like Jane Iredale’s Angle Brush, to blend the product as close to the lash line on top as possible and to smoke out the liner a bit under the bottom lashes as well. | | | Step 4: Thick fluffy lashes on the top and the bottom finish off Anna’s look. The other staple in her makeup style are those big Betty Boop eyelashes. Apply at least two coats of the darkest brown thickening mascara you can find. L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Black Brown or Soft Black is a fantastic and affordable choice. Make sure you take time to separate the lashes on the bottom so they are not clumpy and also accentuate the ends of the lashes, further emphasizing the cat’s eye. | | | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | ANNA FRIEL MAKEUP : EYEBROWS | Eyebrows are very important. They shape the face and finish off the eyes. So, using a small natural hair angle brush, the same type you used for eyeliner, apply an eyebrow powder that is as close to your hair color as possible. Anastasia makes a brow palette in blonde and brunette shades that is fabulous. Use the brush dry and lightly fill in your natural brow, making sure to softly accentuate your natural arch. Last, comb a clear brow gel, like GloMinerals gloBrow Gel in Clear, through your painted brows to blend the color and keep the hair in place. | | | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | ANNA FRIEL MAKEUP : LIPS Read More | SEE RELATED ANNA FRIEL INFO | Article Written By: Jenny Karl; Jenny Karl is a Celebrity Hair and Makeup Artist in Los Angeles.
