JENNIFER LOPEZ’S LATIN GLOW Learn How to Get Jennifer Lopez's Latin Glow with this Simple Makeup How To! | | Everyone wants that J. Lo glow. And I’ll let you in on a little secret, it comes in a bottle! She may have invented it, but Jennifer Lopez certainly wasn’t born with it. Here is how you can simply and affordably get that J. Lo ‘head to toe’ glow for yourself. | | JENNIFER LOPEZ’S LATIN GLOW: SKIN | Face: If you don’t have a natural tan like J.Lo, then you may want to look into a self tanner, like Kiss My Face Instant Sunless Tanner. Exfoliate your skin before the first application and apply every 2-4 days to keep up your color. Use a dewy moisturizer, like Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15, daily under your makeup. It acts as a moisturizer, luminizer, and a sunscreen all in one. Your skin will be instantly brightened and appear flawless. | | | Body: An illuminating body moisturizer is a must have for this Jennifer Lopez latin glow. A product like Jergens Soft Shimmer Skin Radiance Moisturizer uses light reflectors to naturally highlight the skin making it look and feel radiant. Apply a healthy covering all over the entire body. (FYI, you will burn about 30 calories if you apply vigorously!) | | | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | JENNIFER LOPEZ’S LATING GLOW: FOUNDATION To get Jen’s bronzed goddess look, mix a spot of liquid bronzer, like Seraph Cosmetics Liquid Face and Body Bronzer, with a sheer to medium coverage liquid foundation, like Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup, to add a subtle glow while still providing coverage. Apply with clean fingers or a foundation brush. Seraph Cosmetics has a great all purpose foundation brush as well. *Tip: Mix the liquid bronzer with your body moisturizer to add a bit more color to your legs, arms, and décolleté. | | | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | JENNIFER LOPEZ’S LATIN GLOW: CHEEKS | Cream rouge is the way to go for this look. Creams, like True Cosmetics Cream Blush, tend to be more moisturizing and give that dewy glow that was made famous by J. Lo. Using your clean fingers, a sponge, or a foundation brush, begin to stipple (or buff) the cream on to the apples of the cheeks. Start light and add more as needed until you get your desired color and coverage. If you are oily, you may want to look into a cheek stain instead of using a cream. Creams tend to move on some oilier skins. A cheek stain, like Tarte Cheek Stain may have better staying power. Apply your cheek stain either with your fingers or a sponge. | | | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | JENNIFER LOPEZ’S LATIN GLOW: EYES | 2. A deeper bronzy plum, such as Christian Dior One Colour Eyeshadow in Amber Plum, is a perfect choice for the all over lid and crease color. Using a large shadow brush, such as Joey New York’s large shadow brush, apply color all over the lid, taking it up, out, and into the crease as well. Take the color lightly under the eyes with the same brush to give the eyes balance and more of that sexy J. Lo smokiness we all know and love. | | | 3. Using soft kohl eyeliner in a dark bronzy brown, like MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy, draw a smoky line on the inside of the lids all around the entire eye. | | 4. False Lashes, like Ardell InvisiBands Demi Wispies in Brown will really open up and intensify the eyes. Measure the lashes to your eye before using the adhesive and cut if necessary to fit your exact eye length. Using a clear lash adhesive, like Ardell’s version, apply a sheer line of adhesive on the band of the entire lash and place on top of your actual lashes as close to your lash line as possible. Start from the ends of lashes and work your way to the middle, placing the tips of your finger nails on the band to set the glue. Hold for a minute or so in place until glue is dry. | | 5. After the lashes are on tight and the glue has dried, apply a gel liner, like Seraph Cosmetics Gel Liner in dark brown, to cover the lash band and to give that dramatic cat’s eye look. Use a small angle brush, like Jane Iredale’s Angle Brush to gently glide the liner over the lash, directing the color upwards as you reach the outside edges of the eye. Make sure to be careful to not pull up your lashes and loosen the glue.
| | | 6. Lastly, run a light coat of dark brown mascara, like L’Oreal Voluminous, through the lashes to blend the false ones with the real ones and to give a bit more pop. | | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | JENNIFER LOPEZ’S LATIN GLOW: BROWS | Defined eyebrows will give a nice shape to the face, so using a small angle brush and an eyebrow powder in a color closest to your hair color, like Anastasia’s Brows in Bloom palette, use the dry brush and powder to softly fill in your natural brow and create an arch. Then comb a clear brow gel, like GloMinerals gloBrow Gel in Clear, on top to set the brow. | | | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | JENNIFER LOPEZ’S LATIN GLOW: LIPS Read More Article Written By: Jenny Karl; Jenny Karl is a Celebrity Hair and Makeup Artist in Los Angeles.
