LYNN COLLINS MAKEUP: SKIN
Having a soft tan always makes you feel more healthy and beautiful, but baking in the sun isn’t the way to do it. Trust me! A natural self tanner, like Kiss My Face Instant Sunless Tanner, is the way to go. First, gently exfoliate your skin before applying and continue to apply every 3 days to keep up your color. Also, using a dewy moisturizer, like Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15, under your makeup, will give the skin luminosity and also some sun protection.
While your skin is still a bit moist from the freshly applied moisturizer, apply a medium coverage liquid foundation, like Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Foundation. Use your clean fingers or a foundation brush, like Colorescience ""Creme De La Creme"" Foundation Brush, to blend the foundation into skin, adding more where extra coverage is needed (under eyes, around nose and mouth, etc.) as if it was a concealer.
To get Lynn’s glowing and flawless cheeks, use a dewy cream rouge (or blush), like True Cosmetics Cream Blush, to achieve that rosy glow. Use your clean fingers, a sponge, or a foundation brush, to apply, utilizing a stippling (or buffing) motion. Apply lightly only to apples (or balls) of the cheeks. Add more as needed until you get your desired color and coverage.
1. On the eyelid, use a soft shiny golden color, like MAC Shadow in Naked Lunch, all over the lid. Use a larger in size shadow brush, such as Joey New York’s shadow brush to apply color generously all over the lid also taking the color lightly under the eyes with the same brush to give the under eye some pop and highlight.
2. Use a deeper bronzy color, such as MAC Shadow in Sable, on the crease and outer ends of the eye to create an elongated cat’s eye effect. Using the same large shadow brush, apply the bronzy color softly in a sideways V at the ends and into the crease of eye, again taking the color lightly under the eyes with the same brush.
3. Next, apply a soft black kohl pencil eye liner, like Two Faced Liquid Lava Eye Liner Pencil in extreme black, just to the top lid. Apply lightly at first and darken as desired. Apply color as close to lash line as possible, blending upwards a bit at the end of eye with a natural hair angle brush, like Jane Iredale’s Angle Brush.
4. Don’t forget to curl your lashes if needed and apply at least two coats of the darkest black lengthening and thickening mascara you can find, such as Lancome L'Extreme Lengthening Mascara.
Lynn’s natural brows can be easily recreated using a small natural hair angle brush (the same type you used for eyeliner) and an eyebrow powder that is as close to your hair color as possible. The Anastasia Brow Palette is a great product that comes in blonde and brunette shades and also includes a wax and highlighter cream. Use the dry brush with the powder to lightly fill in your natural brow and softly accentuate the arch. Comb a clear brow gel, like GloMinerals gloBrow Gel in Clear, on top to hold the color and keep the hair in place.
To achieve Lynn’s luscious lips, apply a shiny coral lip gloss, like Stila Lip Glaze in Starfruit. Avoid anything too shimmery, but don’t be afraid to pile on the color and the shine!
