THE ROMANTIC BRAID Bring a Little Romance to Your Look with a Braided Hairstyle! | | The romantic look is coming back in a big way. Soft pinks and subdued colors are all over runways and romantic movies are strewn throughout theatres everywhere. There is not doubt that we as a society are looking for romance. To bring a little romance to your look, try sporting a romantic braid! The romantic braid is something that dresses up your hairstyle and gives it that dreamy look. Vanessa Hudgens added romance to her look by simply pulling her hair to one side and braiding her strands in a casual fashion. You can get the look too! Try one of these three romantic braid styles to dress up your hair. | | Jennifer Connelly’s Braided Updo For Jennifer Connelly’s romantic look, the whole head of hair is swept up in one enchanting look. You can recreate this look if you have longer than shoulder length strands. - Start this look with hair that is 75% dry and run a light styling cream through locks.
Then take a deep side part and braid hair down the side of your hair. Once you’ve gotten to your ear with the braid, incorporate a French braid to tie in the rest of your hair. - Repeat the same thing on the opposite side until you are left with two braids in the back. You can leave these strands where they are or you can pin them up into the back of your ‘do for a more structured look.
- Your hair will continue to dry throughout the evening and that will give it a more natural feel. This style is perfect for a wine tasting outing or Sunday brunch. It is enchanting and effortless at the same time.
Hayden Panettiere’s Braided Half Up Style Hayden Panettiere shows off a sweet, yet simple braid in a half up, half down style. - You’ll want to begin with your strands already straightened by using a flat iron on 2” sections of your hair. Hold off on the shine serums though, as they may make your hair too silky and slippery to hold a braid.
- Part hair straight down the middle. Then make two additional parts, from the middle part at the top of your head straight down to the ear on each side. This will give you two good size hair pieces to work with on either side.
- You will then French braid each side of the hair, braiding toward the back of the head so it pulls hair off and away from the face. Secure with clear elastic bands when the braid reaches just beyond the ear.
- Spritz a medium hold hairspray on each braid, and now you can apply your shine serum throughout the leftover locks. This is a sleek style that is great for showing off a fabulous face.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s Braided Updo Fashionable Sarah Jessica Parker never fails to impress us with her style, and her romantic braid is no different. To get this sleek and stylish look, you would typically have to have very long hair. - If you are lucky enough to have long luscious locks like this, then to get this style, simply sweep hair back into a sleek and smooth low ponytail and wrap the pony with a rubber band.
- Then take three sections of hair and braid them individually making three braids.
- Next, braid all the braids into one and wrap the big braid around the base of the ponytail. You can attach this with a few cleverly placed bobby pins.
- Don’t forget to spray your style so it will last all day and night.
- If you weren’t blessed with thick and long locks, then you can fake it with a hair piece. One we suggest is singer/actress Jessica Simpson’s HairDo Chignon.
