Pastel Eye Shadow
Kim Kardashian Rocks Spring’s Latest Beauty Trend: Pastel Eye Shadow!
How to Wear Pastel Eye Shadows for Spring
| I know what you are thinking, “Oh, the nightmare of pastel blue eye shadow! Surely you jest when you say this is a spring makeup trend!” But I’m serious, Divas; this shade can look just as fabulous on you as it does on Kim Kardashian! The reality TV star wears her pastel blue eyeshadow with a nude lipgloss, which keeps the look subtle and fresh. |
If you don’t want to go with allover color on your eyelids, you can try a pink or neutral shadow with blue pastel eyeliner, courtesy of any of these easy to wear blue shadows. If you just experiment a little, you will see that you can achieve a beautiful spring look with blue eye shadow.
Pastel Green Eye Shadows
The green shades listed here are all beautiful. I’ve tried them all on my brown eyes, and, while they each make my eye color look a little bit different (some contain blue or yellow undertones), each one highlights the eye in a wonderful way.
Pastel Peach/Nude Eye Shadows
Every eye color looks glorious in nude, flesh, and peachy shades of eye shadow. These shades look great when worn along with a dark eye pencil such a moss green or a dark turquoise blue. You can put darker eye shadow colors in the crease of your eye area; the Neutrogena Fairy Dust Duo can provide a great base and accent colors. From there, you can use nude, flesh, or peach tones on your lid. You can’t go wrong with these multipurpose hues:
Pastel Pink Eye Shadow
Don’t think for a moment that pink eye shadow is going to make you look ill, which is exactly what one of my friends said when I told her I was writing about pink pastel eye shadow! The trendy pink pastels of 2008 won’t make you look like you are starring in a bad horror movie, and they are particularly nice with brown mascara and eyeliner for a soft look for school or work.
Pastel eye shadow is a trend you really can wear comfortably. Remember that you can layer it with other pastel colors or over a matte neutral if you don’t want full-on pastel color that particular day. I love a sheer lipstick or gloss in a subdued pink tone with pastel eye shadow, or you could go for a very sheer nude lip like Kim Kardashian often wears. Any way you wear it, pastel eye shadow is a spring trend you owe it to yourself to try!
