Along with a new season we are ushering in, are you up for a new hair color to accompany the warmer weather? Blondes, brunettes, and red heads can all rejoice, as hair color is a fun fix for any winter blues you might be hanging on to, and it is as popular as ever. Whether you choose to see a stylist in a salon or do your color at home, rest assured that we have the hottest shades on our radar and we are sharing them with you right here!
Blond Hair Color
Warm weather brings out the blondes, no doubt about it. Most people don't choose full on blonde color, as regular mortals can't rock platinum blonde the way Christina Aguilera does. Full heads of blonde highlights are also considered somewhat old school, as they are costly to keep up and majorly time consuming, especially if you have long, thick hair. These days highlights are more customized to your haircut and are placed at accent points where they help bring out facial features and cover gray patches like in the crown. Mischa Barton has been seen sporting pretty blonde highlights lately.
Here are a few products to try for highlights:
Brown Hair Color
While very dark shades of brown were the toast of the town for a while, a lighter shade of brunette seems to have become more popular with the famous ladies we all know and love. Rachel Bilson, Vanessa Minnillo, Cameron Diaz and even Jessica Simpson are wearing a brown shade I call cinnamon, and I must say it looks stunning on all of them. This lighter brunette shade has a young, flirty feel that is perfect for spring.
Here are some products suggestions to get your cinnamon style on:
Red Hair Color
If you are bold and up for constantly getting noticed, go for a single process red color. Subtle strawberry highlights might be more what you are looking for, sort of like what Lindsey Lohan is wearing right now. (By the time this is published she could be brunette again, who knows??) Only a Kelly Osbourne type can rock the Ronald McDonald red, so it's best you have the personality to carry it off if you choose a neon shade a la ‘girls just wanna have fun'.

It's fun to color your hair without telling friends, significant others or family members and watch their reactions to the new you! Changing hair color is an easy way to change up your look and is inexpensive if you do it yourself at home. Remember that colored hair behaves best when you use shampoos, conditioners, and styling products made for color treated hair. You can also try a semi-permanent color to test out a potential shade before you make a full on commitment. Your hair says a lot about you - Get stylin' for spring with a new hair color!
