Beyonce Knowles Inspires A Glamorous HairdoGet Beyonce’s hairstyle from the 49th Annual Grammy Awards in six simple steps! We all know and love her – Beyonce Knowles, perhaps the greatest pop and R&B star of this generation. She has been loved for her voice, her acting, her dance moves, her fashion sense, her gorgeous hair, and her flawless skin. Honestly, what’s not to love? When it comes to hairstyles, Beyonce’s done it all – afro (thanks to Austin Powers), super tight curls, straight and sleek, and wavy with attitude. Much like her incredible fashion sense, she rarely disappoints on a red carpet in terms of her hairstyles. We loved her look at this year’s 49th Annual Grammy Awards during her performance of “Listen” from the movie Dreamgirls. Beyonce was able to perfectly channel old Hollywood with a deep side part, loose waves, and an impressive display of flower accessories. Believe it or not, you don’t need a super-expensive celebrity hairstylist to pull this look off, you can do it yourself! Follow our step by step instructions to get a glamorous hairstyle inspired by Beyonce Knowles!

Step One: Wash Hair
| Wash your hair with your favorite shampoo that will leave your locks shiny and frizz-free. Need a suggestion? Try Bliss Lemon + Sage Supershine Shampoo. It will leave your locks glossy with wheat proteins and anti-static actives. It smells delicious too! $16.00 |
Step Two: Condition Hair
| Next, condition your hair with a nurturing product like Kerastase Masquintense. It adds life into your locks and helps heal damaged hair! It works especially well for very dry, fine hair. Enriches, restores vitality and adds body to hair so you don’t have to worry about it going flat as the night wears on. Rinse Well. $48.00 |
Step Three: Blow-dry HairBlow-dry your hair as normal. If you have naturally curly or wavy hair, you may want to try blowdrying with a round brush and pulling your hair straight as you dry. Once it’s dry, create a deep side part. |
Step Four: Curl Hair | Grab a large barrel curling iron and taking 3 or 4 inch sections, wrap your hair around the barrel and down it. You may have to do this in sections if you have super long hair, until you have wrapped the entire length of your hair around the curling iron. Continue until you have curled your entire head of hair. I love my Hot Tool Supertools curling iron; it’s a fabulous investment as it lasts forever and gives fabulous long-lasting curls to my unruly hair. The Hot Tools curling iron maintains constant, even heat and the giant 2” barrel creates largecurls and waves, and even straightens. |
Step Five: Spray Hair | Run your fingers through your hair to separate the curls. To replicate Beyonce’s look, you want more of a wave than curl, so play with your hair a little, pulling on the ends until you get the desired wave. Next, spray with a finishing spray. Try Bumble & Bumble surf spray. It gives you that sexy, salty wind-styled texture (even when you’re miles from the beach) with plenty of hold and a matte finish. Your waves will stay in place while still looking naturally tousled. |
Step Six: Add Flowers | Now it’s time for the final step – The flowers. Fresh flowers are always best - try white roses. If you’d rather use a clip, try a couple of Carole Flower Hair Clips for only $6.00 each. |
Now that you’ve got a Grammy-worthy hairstyle inspired by the one and only Beyonce Knowles, where are you going to go with it?
